Item Description
14x21". Top has headline "Solidarity With The African American People August 19, 1968" repeated in English, French, Spanish and Arabic. Below is a group of Black Panthers wielding automatic rifles. A 1" vertical tear at top center and a 1.5" horizontal tear in right margin just above Arabic text both having been stabilized on reverse w/archival tape. Otherwise only four remnants of tape at corners on reverse from previously being framed and light handling wear overall. Fine. This rare print was distributed by the Havana, Cuba based group OSPAAAL, the Organization of Solidarity with the People of Asia, Africa and Latin America and features outstanding art by Emory Douglas, the Black Panther Party Minister of Culture.
