Item Description
6" dia. x 8.75" tall plus handle. A classic 1900 campaign parade lantern in the shape of a working man's lunch pail w/slogan "McKinley and Roosevelt" on front and "Four Years More Of The Full Dinner Pail" on reverse. Letters are comprised of 404 small circular cut-outs in the tin. Interior of tin is lined w/very thin translucent red paper. Interior lining remains but has compressed from heat now covering the center two thirds. Original candle and even remnants of a few long wax matchsticks are on the interior. Exterior is gray tin w/a few traces of silvery flashing. Complete w/swivel handle. A used, but VF example of one of the classic political campaign item icons. Rare.
