Item Description
18x24x3.75" flattened cardboard box mailer box w/"Sears Display" label contains set by Remco, ©1966 NPP Inc. Set consists of "Superman City" map/board on Masonite in which cardboard buildings were positioned. Board was then raised on four plastic "legs," this raised platform was then manipulated using magnetic "wand" to move plastic bases housing magnets that hold cardboard figures including Superman, Lois, Clark Kent, Robot, Strongman and villain, as well as two red cars and a police car. Cardboard pieces remain unused and label sheet is unused. Cardboard sheet has torn and opposite edges allowing sheet to split apart but displays as one piece nicely. Only one window punchout is missing. Plastic pieces remain sealed in original plastic bags. Original packing tag and supplemental instruction papers also in bags. One bag w/legs has split and magnetic bases (9) can be removed. Plastic pieces Exc. overall. Buildings also remain complete and unused/unpunched. Set has original full color photo label that is unattached w/edge wear including lt. insect damage but not affecting graphics. Displays VG/Fine. Original instruction sheet comes along and shows aging/wear. Mailer box shows heavy wear/aging, w/pieces missing and tape on inside. Good. This playset is very difficult to find complete and is a hard piece to come by in any condition. First we've offered in our 50 years. Franco Toscanini Collection.
