Item Description
Original paper-covered cardboard box w/illustrated lid label contains three-piece set made in Japan and distributed by Borgfeldt, 1930s. Box is complete w/original cardboard dividers and shows scattered lt. wear/aging w/faint moisture stains at top right of lid label, which has sliver off left edge. Box is o/w clean and Fine overall w/no corner splits. Mickey and Minnie Mouse bisques are 4.25" tall and each has name incised on chest w/"Made In Japan" and Walt Disney copyrights incised on backs. Both are Exc. Seated Pluto is 2.75" tall and original owner has filled body cavity w/clay as bisque was top-heavy as made and easily tipped over. This in no way affects display. Pluto has some trace paint wear and is o/w VF. Scarce, especially as boxed.
