Item Description
2.5x3.75x1.75" deep illustrated cardboard slipcase contains English double deck playing card set made by Thomas De La Rue & Co. 1930s. Slipcase features images of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto and Clarabelle Cow. Slipcase has to corner splits and shows scattered edge/corner wear. Good/VG. Separate slipcases within hold each deck of 52 cards. Missing two "Contract Scoring" cards and two Mickey Mouse Joker cards. Backs on one deck feature Mickey image and other deck features Minnie. Cards shows lt. aging/wear and are VF/Exc. Rare and just the second we've seen in our 51 years. Comes w/3x4x.75" deep box of "Silly Symphony Snap Cards" by Chad Valley, 1930s. Complete set of ten sets of four cards featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse (two different sets each), Clarabelle Cow, Horace Horsecollar, Donald Duck (early long-bill), Pluto (two different sets) and Clara Cluck as well as instruction card, which has some writing on back. Box shows moderate wear/aging and has small bit of penciling on lid. Fine. Cards show some scattered wear and lt. aging. VF overall.
