Item Description
Each 2.75". The obverse of the first shows massive ship leaving New York Harbor with English text on the side "Comm. For Relief In Belgium." Reverse text is in French and includes name of designer Gorges Petit and date of 1916. A pinpoint rub mark on the ship's anchor otherwise NM. Second is marked "Bronze" on the edge but there is no front or back text. The medal is called Chariots Of Assault. It was struck in Paris and the medal includes the designers name A. Morlon. Obverse shows female Victory symbol with sword leading a charge of a tank on a battlefield. The reverse is designed as a porthole with a view that would be seen by the tank operator. NM. Scarce pair.
