Item Description
Pair of figural china ashtrays, 1930s. First is 2.75x2.25x2.75" tall china ashtray marked "Made In Japan" stamp on underside. Faint "Fleischer" and "Japan" text incised on backs. Incised "S447" number on back of flag Betty Boop holds. Some lt. paint wear to rim accents, o/w Exc. Rare and first we've offered in our 51 years. Second larger, 2.75x2.75x2.5" tall ashtray has "Made In Japan" incised text Bimbo's back. Charming design features Betty and Bimbo seated beside one another, Bimbo w/his arm around her. Bimbo is depicted in unusual orange coloring. Ashtray has basic aging and production flaws but remains Exc. overall. Rare and just the second we've offered in our 51 years.
