Item Description
1-3/8x1.5" gold luster metal case watch features photo dial image of College and NFL HOF member Roger Staubach, noted for his 11 season career w/the Dallas Cowboys (1969-1979), leading the team to the Super Bowl five times (four as the starting quarterback), w/Cowboys victories in Super Bowl VI and Super Bowl XII. Staubach was named MVP of Super Bowl VI, becoming the first of four players to win both the Heisman Trophy and Super Bowl MVP. Dial image is same as that which appeared on Aurora Plastics' "ABC Monday Night Football" game in 1972, and watch lists Staubach's name as well as "Aurora Sports Advisor" designation. Watch comes w/original fabric band and was likely an Aurora in-house presentation piece. Metal case shows some scattered patina but dial remains bright and clean. VF overall. Watch winds but does not work and would benefit from a cleaning. Rare and first we've seen.
