Item Description
4.5X3.5" dia. chalk figure of a smiling Taft in hat w/rounded base designed to allow the figure to wobble. Additional text on reverse reads "Our Mascot" and text on base states "Bill The Beamer Co. New York Copyright 1909 By J.H. Trant." A .25x1/8" chip on the underside of hat brim at right. Fine. Also included is a 3.5X5.5X3.25" box w/illustration of Taft and Bryan billikens containing the painted chalk Taft figure. Verse on label reads "Two Little Ivory Idols We,/Chock-A-Block With Vote-Get Glee/One's Fat And Easy, T'other's Full O' Noise/Take Your Choice Of The Billibois/Pick Out A Smile And Try To Remember/To Broaden One Grin In Bleak November./Billiboi T and Billiboi B." Manufactured by "Blackwell-Wielandy Book & Sta. Co./St. Louis/Wholesale Distributors." Bottom notation "Copyright, 1908, by Amilio Lucchessi."
