In the late 1940s, both American Pottery and Shaw produced four different Pluto figurines and this and the following lot #1693 comprise a complete set of the four. The two in this lot include 5.5" tall seated position and 5.25" long in lying pose with front paws crossed. Sitting figure has American Pottery foil sticker although this is worn, other is without a sticker. Both are Exc. with just a couple of tiny flakes to the red over-the-glaze paint on collars.
