Item Description
Cardboard box w/nicely illustrated lid contains 8" tall hard plastic wind-up toy w/built-in key. This is European version of classic Marx toy, made in Spain by Geyper and distributed throughout Europe. ©1964. Box includes Mary Poppins illustrations on all sides and shows scattered wear, w/slight inward warp to lid and a few small punctures by Mary Poppins' face. Box is Fine overall. Toy is complete w/detachable plastic umbrella w/metal rod handle that when in place, toy's height is 11" total. This European version had some major differences from the Marx version, w/Mary Poppins having vinyl head w/painted features instead of hard plastic, cloth scarf, different color outfit w/fabric flowers on hat and she holds a pattern fabric-covered cardboard carpetbag w/plastic handle. Comes w/key and toy works well, twirling about when wound. Some lt. scattered aging/wear, VF overall. Scarce.
