Item Description
23x34" newsprint posters printed on each side. These were issued in Chicago during the 1968 DNC and are dated from Sat. Aug. 24 to Mon. Aug. 26, 1968. Mast head is flanked w/"Up Against The Wall" and "Complete Convention Coverage" on each. Included are: "Poster One Edition One" w/head line "Busts Begin" and article at right titled "Ochs, Rubin, and Pig Taken As Chi Cops Clip Yips"; "Poster Two Edition One" w/"Cazzie Russell Playing Guard: Ft. Hood Revolt" headline and article w/sub headline "Black GIs Refuse Order, Won't Put Down Outbreak Of Violence In Chicago 43 Held In Stockade" and Poster Three Edition One w/headline "What's Marvin Watson Doing For LBJ?" and a photo at bottom of a police officer attacking a protestor w/caption "Cops Chased And Clubbed Yippies Late Last Night At Lincoln Park." All have vertical and three horizontal folds as issued. Light wear along folds and moderate age toning. VF. Well preserved examples of these uncommon and historic publications.
