Item Description
18x24" stone litho on thin paper. Design features a laborer at center atop an ornate monument w/hammer in on hand raised above his head and steadying a flag w/labeled "Proletarians Of All Countries Unite." On the left and right side of the monument's base portraits of "Karl Marx" and "Friedrich Engels" w/text "The Tool of Production The Workers Property" and "Unconditional Surrender Of The Capitalist Class To The Proletariat" respectively. At center of base is a depiction of the Lattimer massacre showing troops opening fire on a group of men, women and children. Faint light brown damp stain at bottom right and a 1.5" long piece of clear tape affecting edge of design. Otherwise age toning at edges and moderate handling wear. VF. Outstanding graphics and fine details make this a stand out labor poster.
