Item Description
Lot of 50, each 1-1/8x2-1/8" thick cardboard. From c. 1941 set by Peerless Weighing & Vending Machine Corp. Front of each features star's name along with studio name. Each reverse is marked "Collect Engrav-o-tints/Portraits Of Movie Stars" along with fortune. Cards are sometimes found with weight ink-stamp imprint on reverse, however all of these are without such imprint. Stars include Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, John Wayne, "Capt." Clark Gable, James Stewart, Lucille Ball, Judy Garland, Katherine Hepburn, Claudette Colbert, Judy Garland, Lana Turner, others (please contact us if a complete list is desired). While many cards have images off-center as printed, all remain clean with sharp corners. NM.
