Item Description
Lot of 13 different, each 2.75x3". 1930s issued in both vending machines and as gasoline giveaways, all in this group are the latter with gas company logo printed on reverse. Several different imprints in this group including Sinclair, Texaco, Amoco, Tydol and Esso. The cards in this series feature actual picture panels from Big Little Books which have been mounted to same size cardboard sheets. Card reverse includes series title and number. This lot consists of Flash Gordon #3, Buck Rogers #120 and #227, Buck Jones #102, Dick Tracy #121, Mickey Mouse #110, Snow White #138-139, Little Orphan Annie #129, Felix The Cat #186, Moon Mullins #196, Alley Oop #108 and #277. Card fronts have typical age tanning with some light traces of staining on a few due to glue used to mount them to the cardboard. Reverse of one Buck Rogers card has 1" tape stain. Aside from the aging, cards are clean with sharp corners. VF/Exc. We have sold single cards for Mickey and Flash Gordon in excess of $100 each.
