Item Description
24 from set of 25 each 2-1/8x3-1/8". 1930s issued by Schutter-Johnson Candy Corp. Card fronts feature illustrations relating to a different occupation, personality, etc. while the reverse has related text. These include clown, wrestler, animal trainer, swimmer, radio announcer, pirate, auto racer, jockey, athlete, movie star, cowboy, fireman, policeman, gold miner, aviator, magician, detective, baseball player, locomotive engineer, boxer, speed cop, sailor, drum major and hunter. Missing only card #4 "Strong Man." Card backs note that if a complete set of 25 cards were sent in you could have your choice of a baseball mitt, watch or roller skates. In order to limit the number of prizes that were given out, card #4 was short-printed and therefore is extremely rare today. Card #3 has light crease. All others have light margin wear/aging with some slightly rounded corners. Card backs have varying degrees of tanning/aging. Few cards Fine but most remain VF.
