Item Description
14x35.75" insert poster for the original release of the 1955 Columbia Pictures Sci-Fi film directed by Robert Gordon and starring Kenneth Tobey, Faith Domergue and Donald Curtis. This giant monster film features stop motion animation special effects for the giant octopus by Ray Harryhausen. The film was released on a double bill w/"Creature With The Atom Brain." Poster features great graphics of the octopus's tentacles destroying San Francisco as crowds flee. Poster has three horizontal folds as issued w/two additional faint horizontal creases. Pin holes at corners w/scattered margin wear including four .25" to .5" tears to upper left margin and two small tears along top margin. Lower right corner has more moderate handling wear. Fine overall.
