Item Description
1-5/16" heavy bronze luster badge from early boys organization that eventually merged with the Boy Scouts. Reverse has bar pin and text "Awarded By W.D. Boyce Chief Totem Lone Scouts Of America" along with maker name "AM. Badge Co. Chicago." Front has shield design with text "Helping To Win The War" with crossed hoe and spade below. Surrounding the shield is a scene with a young man tending a garden while to the left and above are three birds circling a bird house and on the right are three shelves lined with food preserved in jars. With a magnifying glass two jars on the bottom row can be seen to read "Jam" and "Fruit". NM. Rare.
