Item Description
There are 15 known buttons in this set of 1-1/8" lithos issued in Peoria, Illinois to promote the newspaper and radio station. In order these picture Chief Wahoo with c. 1936 character design, Fritzi Ritz, Lil Abner with designs c. 1934 and 1938, Mutt & Jeff, Nancy with c. 1938 design and Bronco Billy. The first of the two Abner's has slight craze lining on his hair and shoulders, the button with Mutt & Jeff has fairly extensive craze lines and the button picturing Nancy has some moderate crazing. These three are about Fine with the other four Exc. to NM. A scarce locally distributed group.
