Item Description
Lot of four (of nine) 6.75x8.75" w/88 pages of bw comic strip reprints. Titles were published one per year from 1926 to 1934 w/daily strip reprints from 1925 to 1933. Each book was issued w/dust jacket, all of which are now rare. Titles and condition are - Book 1 "Little Orphan Annie" comes w/dust jacket, which shows wear w/spine and corner tip wear. Pair of 1" tears at top of front cover. Dust jacket is VG/Fine. Covers have some corner tip wear. A few pages have scattered coloring, but this is minor in nature. Fine overall. Book 4 "Bucking The World" is missing dust jacket and shows corner tip wear. Inked inscription at top of first page. Title page is colored and has some minor scattered coloring throughout. Pencil inside back cover. Fine overall. Book 7 "A Willing Helper" is missing dust jacket. Inked inscription inside front cover. Scattered lt. spine wear at top/bottom but clean and VF overall. Book 8 "In Cosmic City" comes w/dust jacket, which shows lt. edge wear and is VF. Book is VF/Exc. Wonderful front cover and title page specialty art by creator Harold Gray.
