Item Description
5.25x6.5x3.5" tall hinged-lid tin litho container made by fish packing company "Grundvig & Engelsviken" of Norway as noted on left side panel w/wire handle. Original side locking strap present, making it possible to carry tin by handle on side as tin was filled w/smaller tins of sardines (which Snow White is shown serving to Dwarfs on main lid images). Tin features choice specialty Christmas art including wrap-around scene of Dwarfs carrying product tins. Lid has "Merry Christmas" Norwegian text. c. 1938. Tin has scattered rim wear to lid w/1.5" scratch at bottom center of lid. Fine overall.
