Item Description
18.25x23" yellow stock paper with black ink mounted on linen backing. 1944. Artist noted as "Hotchkiss-USNR" text at bottom "Official Navy Poster, Industrial Incentive Division, Jap-80M". Done in an unusual format/style. Large Imperial Japanese Soldier image with several sub-images and extensive factual text, almost drawn in a Ripley's Believe It Or Not style. Also wording is almost done in a more respectful way toward the Japanese people and their massive war efforts instead of in a strongly worded anti-Japanese style. Designed to inspire US workers to produce more. Faint fold lines and lt. aging/wear. Beautiful condition and displays Exc. Mark Treitel Collection.
