1940s. 7" long bamboo and paper fan. Fan shows bw image of Japanese bombers w/rising sun wing markings bombing two American battleships w/one sinking, possibly celebrating Pearl Harbor attack. Opposite side has rising sun image on white background. Some lt. aging/wear overall. Some lt. tanning. One small tear on rising sun side. Delicate construction on this rare Japanese home front propaganda item. First we've seen in our 51 years. Mark Treitel Collection.
