Item Description
Pair of marble games. One is 8.5x8.5x1" and second is 7.25x7.25x1" both with die-cut circular "windows" on lids and glass covers over marble games. "Capture Hitler" is ©1942 and "Victory" is ©1944. Both by Harry W. Standridge, though gameboards note games were "Patented May 21, 1935." Gameboards are cardboard with a series of holes punched out that are meant to capture marbles. "Capture Hitler" comes with 23 glass marbles in a variety of colors. Lid has moderate wear and tears to edges with some tape repairs. "Victory" has Allied leaders and US military leaders graphics added to elements of other game. Comes with 15 marbles. Similar game play to both. Lid has 4" top edge split and .5" splits on all four edges. Moderate wear/aging. Both game lids are VG. Game boards are Exc. Scarce pair of wartime games. Mark Treitel Collection.
