Item Description
Lot of 15 personal payments records from collection of Scott Brinker, marionette builder and props/set designer for the Howdy Doody show 1948-1955. Brinker continued his association w/Howdy Doody in later years w/the late Buffalo Bob Smith. Five 5.5x11.75" ledger paper sheets have inked entries of "1953 Receipts" beginning Jan. 12, w/four of five sheets having roughly 40 items each, concluding w/Dec. 30 receipt w/total of $14,152.40. Items are listed by individual device produced or repaired. Some of note include - Chickapoodle Necklace, Poll Parrot Shoe Display, Supertalkascope, Bluster Glasses, Claradoodle, Clarabell Diving Helmet, Large Peanut, Johnny Jupiter Props, Goofus and Goofus Receiver, Quibble Bibbles Question Quasher Squasher, Rubber Cocoanuts, Clarabell Curtain Booth" and more. Very interesting behind the scenes information. Lot also includes 11 3.5x8.5" payment statement stubs from checks received.
