Item Description
1.75" reads "To My Pal From Ozark Ike Daily In The Times." c. 1945 depicting character created by Ray Gotto. The strip featured a dumb but likeable rural mountain boy and was compared at the time to such strips as Li'l Abner and Joe Palooka. Strip was distributed by KFS and was read in over 250 newspapers across America. Surface has some fine hairline scratches but only a long 1.25" one that stands out much in reflected light. However, with normal viewing none of these show and the piece is totally clean with perfect centering and high gloss. Rare.
