Item Description
2-1/8" without paper but with curl naming maker Ehrman, Boston. Magnificent design and color with exploding firecracker scaring the daylights out of a giant eagle who recoils from the explosion in terror. Issued for one day July 4, 1916 celebration in the small New Hampshire town of Keene. Our Hake book color plate example realized over $250 in Auction 220. This is the only other example known to us. NM displaying Mint.
