Item Description
2-1/8" with W&H paper. Gruesome scene with bloody butcher's knife and plate holding the severed head of a hog who is still smiling despite his demise. Omaha in 1901 was the leading center for the distribution of livestock so the folks attending the South Omaha Street Fair probably took this image in stride. Issued as an "Official Souvenir" for this 11 day celebration. Only very tiny and faint traces of age. Full gloss. Rare and VF. See the following two Omaha buttons #596-597.
