Item Description
27x41" one-sheet poster for the original release of the 1944 Universal Pictures Sherlock Holmes film, the eighth of 14 films starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock and Nigel Bruce as Doctor Watson. Great poster art has large Scarlet Claw at center w/portraits of Rathbone and Bruce at upper right and rest of cast at bottom. Poster has been folded as issued w/.25" splits at fold crease intersections. Pin holes at corners and staple holes along margins w/tape repairs on back to tears at lower left corner. Tape repairs on back to number of tears along bottom margin. Left margin has series of small holes running along edge of image area. VG.
