Item Description
2.25x41.5" long. This 1880 parade belt is made of canvas w/stitched cotton edging. Buckle at left is secured w/a piece of leather and affixed by a metal grommet. On reverse at right is leather strap affixed by a metal grommet. Obvious fraying and losses of the border fabric but it's a surprise that any of this fragile material remains. The canvas remains extremely clean. Fine. A rare near complete survivor.
