Item Description
4x4x4" metal mount holding a glass ball for kerosene w/original swivel mount for attaching to pole. Paint wear from consistent use but still retains some of the original red and white paint. VG. These were marketed as "Ballot Box Torches" and made to resemble the shape of period ballot boxes. Torchlight parade items have always been of keen interest to collectors of campaign artifacts and this is a classic of the era.
