Item Description
5.5" long. Silk. Unlisted in Sullivan/Fischer. Fraying at top and bottom affecting what's left of the eagle motif and text "Geo. M. Dallas" respectively. Faint light brown spot just above portrait right of center. VG. Text in banner at top advocates statehood for "Texas" and "Oregon". Portrait remains clean and bold and this rare ribbon displays very pleasingly. All material for Polk is rare and this design gets our vote for most attractive. See lot #23 for matching Clay.
