Item Description
The first movie theater club  began January 11,  1930 at the Fox Dome Theater in Ocean Park, CA. The first club button pictured a crudely drawn Mickey standing with both hands on his hips. That design was quickly replaced with this 7/8" size button showing  studio-approved Mickey with broad smile, pie-cut eyes and one hand waving.  This is the first club button produced by the company "Phila. Badge Co." and the button retains their back paper. On this second design,  there is text added below Mickey's feet which reads "Copy. 1928-1930 By W.E. Disney." This revised, second version button was also used only briefly  before the club members' button was changed for a third time resulting in buttons produced in the 1.25" size. A superb Mint example of an historic Disney/Mickey artifact. Rare.
