Item Description
The gun is 5.5" long with the "trigger" and handle formed by a bent steel bar with a 5" "gun barrel" formed by a spring on a steel rod. The 4.5" dart has metal shaft and locks in place on the barrel until handle is squeezed to release. Metal frame has lost most of the thin silver gilt and is mostly a dark metallic steel color w/scattered dark brown surface oxidation but not corrosive rust. Rubber dart cap is hardened and flattened from years of storage in the envelope, but complete. Comes w/original mailing envelope which has wear traces but VF. Other than rubber distortion and silvering loss, both dart and gun are working and Fine.  Better examples are unknown to us and this is very likely the very example offered in Auction #168 in 2002. Rare.
