Item Description
4.5" long cardboard box w/hinged lid contains pocket watch w/2" dia. metal case. 1934. Box is complete w/separate brick design cardboard insert to hold included 1.5" tall enameled silver luster aluminum fob w/original leather strap. Same art appears on inside/outside of lid and features Practical Pig building his brick house w/inset portrait of the Big Bad Wolf. Lid has some lt. scattered surface paper rubs and corner tip wear and is complete w/inset tray/box to hold fob (though surface paper has slight fade to brick design). Still VF overall. Dial features great images of Three Little Pigs plus large Wolf head w/separate eye that moves as seconds tick. Works. Back of case is designed like a brick wall w/large door at center w/incised text "May The Big Bad Wolf Never Come To Your Door - Walt Disney." Text still has a large percentage of the red accent paint to lettering, which is typically missing. Scattered silver luster wear to case. Dial retains strong color, especially to the red bkg. (prone to fading). Still a VF example of this classic Disney character timepiece. Scarce w/box and in this condition. Scarce as boxed.
