Item Description
This is an exceptional example of this classic timepiece w/beautifully illustrated box that is extremely rare. Ingersoll, ©1934 Walt Disney. Box is 5x5x3" deep w/die-cut display lid (which has been punched) and three side panels featuring images of the Three Pigs, w/their houses, panels folding out to form display riser in back w/Atlantic Carton Corporation of Norwich, CT name. Box also has original die-cut insert. Lid has some heavy creases by die-cut portion (w/archival tape repair on back, reattaching piece), which has .5" tear on either side and is loose. Some corner tip wear but still Fine overall for display. Original instruction paper has even lt. aging and has moderate handling wear w/.25" puncture at center. VG. Animated clock is 4.5" tall w/metal case. Clock face has separate Big Bad Wolf head that nods as seconds tick while his hands point at the numerals. Works. Images of the Three Pigs and "Whose Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf?" text surrounds Wolf. NM, old store stock that appears as fresh as the day it was produced. Very rare as boxed, this just the second boxed example we've offered in our 51 years.
