3.5x10.5" original mailing envelope w/James Spencer & Company return address. 7.75" long ribbon badge. Top ribbon has crossed flags and suspends a 1.75" dia. cello pendant w/ handshake motif and text "Organized - July 6th, 1896". text. At top is a "Member" hanger that suspends a backing ribbon reading "Morton Colored Republican Club - Morton, PA." w/reverse having "In Memoriam - Morton Colored Republican Club - Morton, PA." text. Ribbon has minor aging remaining Exc. overall. The Morton Colored Republican Club once served as a political campaign stop for candidates hoping to garner the votes of influential African American voters.
