Item Description
21-1/8x27.75" poster features Carl Shreve's art depicting American Marines from World War II, w/Revolutionary War era Marine in bkg. w/drum and USMC symbol at upper right. Poster was printed by McCandlish Litho in Nov. 1943 for the US Marine Corps' 168th Anniversary (which was founded Nov. 10, 1775). Poster has been linen-mounted and rolled. Evenly aged w/moderate restoration at all four corners w/some scattered restoration along margins. Some scattered splotches of blue paint to left of Colonial Marine (on date). Displays Fine as linen-mounted. Rare.
