Item Description
27x41" one-sheet poster for the original release of the 1935 ComiColor cartoon directed by legendary animator Ub Iwerks. Based on the popular fairy tale retrieved and recorded by the Brothers Grimm, poster features great scene showing anthropomorphic donkey, dog, cat and rooster (who holds phonograph) performing in the street, determined to prove their usefulness, despite being past their prime. Angry man prepares to throw potted plant from second floor window. Poster was folded and has now been linen-mounted w/professional restoration along fold lines and at fold crease intersections. Margins have been replaced. Displays VF/Exc. as restored w/bright colors. Rare.
