Item Description
Lot of four 11x14" lobby cards for the original release of the 1943 Universal Pictures Sherlock Holmes film, the seventh of 14 films starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock and Nigel Bruce as Doctor Watson. Great title card has Rathbone and Bruce staring at image of woman at center of large spiderweb as Gale Sondergaard looks on from opposite corner. Tape at each corner, partially removed at upper right w/surface paper lift. VG/Fine. One card shows carnival scene while other two cards feature Rathbone; one w/Bruce and another in disguise as swami. Carnival and Sherlock/Watson cards are free of pin holes while Sherlock as swami card has two staple holes along top margin and pin hole at upper right corner. Cards are evenly aged and Fine to VF overall.
