Item Description
3.75x10.25x2.25" deep box contains 10" long nicely designed painted tin toy by Sutcliffe Pressings Ltd. c. 1954. Lid text includes "The Submarine From Walt Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea By Jules Verne" and features nice art depicting Nautilus along w/crew member divers, sunken ship and sea creatures. Box is complete w/die-cut insert (which has two .5" tears) and has some lt. corner tip wear but is o/w VF/Exc. Submarine has high-gloss finish paint complete w/four accent decals, one featuring "Nautilus" name, the other w/company name. Top periscope consists of metal wire periscope and rubber stopper and lifts off for placement of key (which is included). Toy works and is designed to be used in water as box notes "It Dives, It Surfaces." Some lt. scattered aging, but o/w Exc./NM.
