Item Description
Fiction House. "Vol 1 No 3, 4, 5, 7" written neatly in pen on each cover respectively. All have heavy to moderate wear/aging unless otherwise noted. #3 Nov. 1938 has split and detached Joe Penner football theme cover with tearing along edges at spine. Will Eisner cover and Jack Kirby art. Poor. #4 Dec.1938 has split and detached Thanksgiving theme cover with tearing along edges at spine. Name in pen at upper right cover. Back cover has tear halfway across center. Origin of "The Hawk" by Will Eisner. First comic work by Lou Fine on "Wilton Of The West" and "The Count Of Monte Cristo". Poor. #6 Feb. 1939 has heavy wear on spine w/cover still attached and small tears and creases. Fair. #7 April 1939 has a few small edge tears. Good. All books have nice page quality on colored paper stock. A lot of rare 10.25x14.25" oversized editions. Cannot be certified/encapsulated due to large size.
