4.5" tall china marked on underside w/Disney copyright and foreign registration number. Companion piece to Toby Tortoise toothbrush holder, see previous item #1742. c. 1936. Great image depicting Max standing w/his thumb sticking out as he appeared in the 1936 Silly Symphonies animated short "Toby Tortoise Returns." Ear tips have single, tiny nick and streak of paint wear which is only noticeable upon close inspection and blends well for an Exc. display. Very rare and among the most sought after character toothbrush holders. Only example we've offered in our 51 years.
