Item Description
15.75 X 22.5" stiff paper sheet with numerous folds, as intended, to assemble into a paper hat featuring, at folder's choice, the "Democratic Candidate For President" or the "Republican Candidate For President" plus the image of the candidate "For Vice-President". For a folded example see Hake Book III McKinley #3012. Text includes "Copyright 1896, By Forbes Litho. Mfg. Co." for use by various newspapers. Some small and widely scattered age marks, very small edge tear and 1/8" hole at very center. The McKinley side is VG and the Bryan side is Fine. Unusual artifact and scarce.
