Item Description
2.5x6x.75" deep box w/colorful illustrations contains one of three different Abner animated watches, this watch is variety w/dial w/close-up of saluting Li'l Abner and American flag that waves back and forth as seconds tick. New Haven. ©1951 UFS/Al Capp. Similar box was issued for other watches, but w/notation of different animated features. Box is complete w/cardboard insert and shows scattered edge/corner tip wear. Lid has some lt. scattered color rubs but box is free of splits and o/w Fine. Watch comes w/original leather bands and shows some wear/aging to stitching. Some surface scratches to crystal at 11 o'clock area. Dial also has .25" surface scratch but is o/w clean and bright. Running and Fine/VF overall. Scarce as boxed. Richard Calusdian Collection.
