Item Description
12-7/8x17" single-sided thin cardboard sign features great full color cover image of "Uncanny X-Men At The State Fair Of Texas" comic book that was issued as an advertising supplement to the "Dallas Times Herald" newspaper in Oct. 1983. Cover art was provided by John Romita and features the X-Men (Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler and Ariel (Kitty Pryde) Wolverine in battle w/Eques (Danny Wiley), a young mutant who can transform into a winged centaur. The story dealt w/Professor X and Magneto attempting to recruit the young mutant to their respective cause. Sign has "Free Marvel Comic Book In Sunday's Times Herald" text. As sign was once framed, margins are slightly darker in color as majority of sign has slight fade. Scattered corner tip/edge wear but still clean and Fine overall. Rare.
