Item Description
Each about 3" tall with 3-D celluloid body and metal sharpener in the base. Mickey and Donald are c. 1935. Both have a tiny "T" in a circle logo and Mickey has the word "Japan" in the cello and "Made In Japan" on the sharpener. Mickey was formed as a single piece. Donald was made with separate glued-on head and arms. The head came off at some point and has barely seen glue hairline where neck meets body. Likewise, Pinocchio's head was molded separately and has glue traces between neck and body. Pinocchio is 1940 and has multiple marks. Front cello base has "Pinocchio", back cello has " © W.D.P., back pants have "Japan" and sharpener has "Made In Japan". Red colors are faded on reverse but front displays VF. Donald is VF displaying Exc. Mickey is Exc. displaying Mint. All are scarce.
