Item Description
This is a very scarce ring offered briefly by Quaker cereals in the summer of 1941 (w/Aug. 30, 1941 expiration date) w/promotional text in newspaper ads telling readers to order "Before Orphan Annie Comes Back On The Air Next Fall." Ring has "SG" Secret Guard initials on each side while top has relief Annie portrait covered by small magnifying glass in a brass frame. This is held is place by a tiny rivet on the upper edge to enable swiveling. Scattered brass luster wear and aging to magnifying loop and bottom half of each band, but much luster remains on rest of ring. Fine overall.
