Item Description
This club, headed by "Tim" (a cartoon boy w/o a surname), existed as early as 1929. Membership consisted of boys who patronized clothing stores electing to join the "Tim" endorsement theme. Premiums included code books, stamp albums and buttons related to "Pie Eater" activities. Tim joined forces w/Superman around 1942. This ring is from the 1930s and, although unmarked, has a sterling base. Ring has non-adjustable bands that were cut and sized, as issued, for the particular ring owner. Unlike on some examples where the cut was made, this example has small tarnish mark at the bottom where the ring was cut as is typical for this ring. Each side features Tim's dog w/Tim's high relief profile on top. Ring exhibits lt. general wear but is still Exc. overall. Scarce.
