Item Description
8.25". Silk. Issued for a parade in Philadelphia held by members of the "Native American" party who endorsed Clay in 1844. Slogan at bottom reads "Train Up Your Children To Love Their Country And Guard Its Institutions." The party was a pre-cursor to the Know Nothing Party. Scattered light brown spots affecting lower fourth. Otherwise only light age toning. VF. Scarce.
